We love our scrappy friends and without you all we wouldn't be here! The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog Design Team is proud to bring you our "Feel The Love" Blog Hop to tell you just how much we think of each and every one of you! We're being sponsored by the amazing AuroraWings! Come hop with us for a chance to win $15 in digital images of choice! How awesome is that?!

As you hop, leave a comment at every stop! The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win! A random winner will be selected from all the comments left on our designers' blogs!

All of the LTSCB designers are creating FRIENDSHIP inspiration projects for our blog hop. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up a FRIENDSHIP project for an extra entry into the drawing!

Okay, let me side-track for a moment to share my project with you. I created a shaker card and you know how I love shaker cards! I used the absolutely g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s. AuroraWings Flower Ballerina digital image. OMG. Thud. This image is stunning!

I printed the image on Ivory Antique Linen cardstock and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and clear Wink of Stella which gave it some beautiful shimmer!

I used my Fuse Tool to create a shaker pouch and filled it with several different shades of purple sequins. Besides my big yummy signature bow, the only other embellishments are flat-back pearls.

For the inside, I layered the sentiment and added a piece of a scalloped border for a little interest.

Very happy to enter this fun shaker card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Marco's Ivory Antique Linen cardstock, GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Wild Lilac cardstock

hello friend

** 6/6/16 Winner at The Paper Girls Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! I'm having to re-write this blog post, as I joined the design team for a new challenge blog that abruptly closed down on 6/16/16 without any notice. Our sponsors were Delicious Doodles and SheepSki Designs and even though the challenge never made it to the end, I feel compelled to recognize them because they provided all of us with images to create with.

I chose the absolutely gorgeous Monarch Butterfly digital image from Delicious Doodles to use as the focal image on my 'hello friend' card. I had a little fun with my Brusho crystals and created a splattered background using yellow, orange and red crystals on distress watercolor cardstock. Love my Brushos - they make awesome backgrounds! I layered the background piece on a coordinating color of cardstock and did a little complimentary stamping and die cutting.

I printed the butterfly image on heavy vellum, poured Sparkle embossing powder on it while the ink was still wet, and heat embossed it. I then colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added some clear Wink of Stella to the body. This is such a pretty image and I'm really loving how this turned out! ;)

I kept the inside fairly simple, using a scrap strip of the watercolor background from the front, stamping a sentiment, and then layering the panel on some of the same cardstock used on the front.

Proud to enter this friendship card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Tomato Soup, Sweet Mango and Sweet Corn cardstock, Marco's 40# vellum, Ranger Distress Watercolor cardstock
  • Stamps: Delicious Doodles Monarch Butterfly digi, WPlus9 Hand Lettered Hello stamp set, Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics stamp set
  • Ink: Brushos- yellow, orange and red, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Spectrum Noir- CT4, OR1, OR2, IG8
  • Dies/Punches: Lil Inker Designs Instant Camera die, Paper Smooches Stitched Borders die
  • Accessories: Hero Arts Sparkle embossing powder, clear wink of Stella, MISTI, Doodle Bug Designs flat-back pearls

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and will check out all the fun digis at Delicious Doodles and SheepSki Designs! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Sending You Sunshine

** 5/29/16 Honorable Mention at 613 Avenue Create! **

Hi everyone, hope you had a great week! It's time for another fun challenge over at Crafty Friends Challenge Blog and I'm happy to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #32 Summer Time! Come on over and join the fun - we want to see your project depicting summer time!

Our sponsors this time are

and

I created a birthday card using Beach Friends from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I actually saw my best friend and I in this image which totally cracked me up! I went with a blue and white color combo with pops of just a few other colors in the pre-colored image. I added my signature big bow and used some burlap paper for layering, and really like the look the burlap paper adds to this project.

Aren't these gals just a hoot?! I paired this fun image with some die cuts and used some clear Wink of Stella on their bathing suits and scarves that are tied on their hats. This card definitely has some layers! ;)

Teeheehee... the image came with a couple different sentiments and I really liked this one. No truer words have ever been spoken, lol!

Proud to enter this fun birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Taylored Expressions Snow White cardstock, GKD Powder Blue cardstock, Stampin' Up! Painted Blooms DSP (#137784), American Crafts Navy Burlap paper
  • Stamps: Sparkle N Sprinkle Beach Friends digital image, Taylored Expressions Sunflower Bouquet stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Dies/Punches: Spellbinders Classic Squares and Postage Stamps dies, Cheery Lynn Designs Italian Flourish die
  • Accessories: RRR Danish Blue seam binding, clear Wink of Stella, light blue gemstones

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and have found a little inspiration to create a summer time project for our challenge! Be sure to check out all the fun images that The East Wind and Sparkle N Sprinkle have to offer! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Tunes for you

Hi everyone! Hope you are experiencing good weather wherever you are. We actually had some cool days last week which were absolutely wonderful considering we've had temps as high as 90 degrees already! It's time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog and I'm happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #77 - Anything Goes! We're being sponsored this time by Doodle Pantry, SLS Lines and Dr. Digi's House of Stamps so come play with us for a chance to win some amazing prizes!

I chose the uber cool Davey Dunderton from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for my rock tunes birthday card. Old guys rule, lol! And they always make me think 'red, white and blue' for some reason. I used a retro background stamp that I've had forever, stamped in blue, along with red and white diagonal stripe paper, all layered on gray cardstock. I've been on a diagonal stripe kick - you'll be seeing it in various colors on cards coming up. Needless to say, I had a good time putting this together, snickering pretty much the entire time! ;)

The musical notes and tiny hearts were cut with some dies I got a few months back so it was fun breaking them out and using them for the first time on this card. :)

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in the same blue ink as the circle retro background strip on the front and layered the panel on red and then gray cardstock. I added a musical note for a little interest.

Happy to enter this rockin' birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White and Cherry Red cardstock, Stampin' Up! Regals Designer Series Paper Stack (#138436), Stampin' Up! Basic Gray cardstock (#121044)
  • Stamps: Dr. Digi's House of Stamps Davey Dunderton digital image, YNS iTunes stamp set, The Stamp Doctor Retro Border and The Stamp Doctor Birthday Rocks stamps
  • Ink: Memento Danube Blue and Tuxedo Black ink; Spectrum Noir- FS1, FS2, IG1, IG2, IG5, IG6, IG7, DR1, DR5, TB2, TB3, GB8, GB10
  • Dies/Punches: Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B, Paper Smooches Music Notes dies, Paper Smooches Tiny Hearts dies
  • Accessories: Wink of Stella, MISTI

I hope you've found a little inspiration to create a project for our 'anything goes' challenge this time! We know everyone loves this theme! there are so many BEAUTIFUL reasons to be happy

** 5/15/16 Winner at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog! **

Hey everybody! Happy Cinco de Mayo tomorrow! Where the heck has this year gone?! I'm stoked to be co-hosting over at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog with the lovely Barbara Campbell this week! Our theme is April Showers Bring May Flowers and we want to see flowers on your project! We're being sponsored by Gina K Designs and One Happy Cut so come play with us!

I created a pretty Spring-themed card featuring the Piestro Tile die which is one of many dies you'll find at One Happy Cut. I started by embossing the floral image in white embossing powder on distress watercolor cardstock, then inked the piece with three colors of distress ink. I flicked water droplets all over the piece and blotted them with a paper towel.

I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color markers and a Niji water brush (also blotted with paper towel) to get the washed watercolor look and then colored the flowers with clear Wink of Stella. I cut the Piestro Tile on the left side and added the ribbon and bow along with three gems. I put a scrap of plain watercolor paper behind the die cut portion and layered the piece on tangerine cardstock.

I embellished the inside rather simply with a leftover strip of the inked distress watercolor cardstock from the front and layered the panel on more of the tangerine cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in the two darkest distress inks used on the front which gave it a neat marbled look.

I'd love to enter this Spring themed card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock, Stampin' Up! Tangerine Tango
  • Stamps: Unity Big Summertime Bouquet and Blossom by Blossom stamp sets
  • Ink: Ranger distress ink- Fired Brick Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint
  • Dies/Punches: Memory Box Piestra Tile die
  • Accessories: Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, MISTI, Niji Water Brush, Studios Blackbird Ribbon, Queen & Co. Orange Twinkle Goosebumps

I hope you've enjoyed this project and are inspired to create a project with flowers for our challenge this time! Be sure to check out all the fun goodies at  Gina K Designs and One Happy Cut! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Thank You

** 5/15/16 Top 3 at CCC Digi Creations! **

Hi everyone! Holy moly, it's May already! We are just rockin' through this year, aren't we?! I'm super stoked to be guest designing for Unicorn Challenge Blog and happy to share my inspiration project for the Spotty Dotty challenge! You know me and fun folds... I just can't resist them... and I fell head over heels for this pleated skirt card! OMG, how cute is this?!

The stamps, ink, cardstock and designer series paper are all from Stampin' Up! In addition to the dots peeking out from the reverse side of this gorgeous double-sided floral paper, I stamped a dotty background on the upper half of the green card base. I used a couple of my favorite stitched dies for the stamped elements.

Although this is mainly a pink and green color combo, both sides of this DSP have pops of other colors which I'm really loving! ;) The only embellishments I used were a few green sequins and some white metallic string wrapped around the stamped flower panel.

I did keep the inside relatively simple, just stamping a sentiment on a layered panel.

Proud to enter this fun fold thank you card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Stampin' Up! Whisper White (#100730), Always Artichoke cardstock (#105119), Stampin' Up! Rose Red cardstock (#102544), Painted Blooms DSP (#137784)
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Painted Petals stamp set (#137146)
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Red Rose ink (#126954), Stampin' Up! Pear Pizzazz ink (#131180)
  • Dies/Punches: My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Rectangles STAX die, Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die, Stampin' Up! Finishing Touches Edgelits (#127010)
  • Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), Really Reasonable Ribbon white metallic string, Doodlebug Design green sequins

I hope you've found a little inspiration to create a spotted/dotted project for our challenge this time! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Dropping in to say Hi

** 5/31/16 Winner at Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog! **

Hey there, my crafty friends! Time is just moving right along and we're launching another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog this morning! I'm happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #77 - Make It Girly! Come play with us - we want to see your girly and feminine project! We're being sponsored this time by Limited Runs Stamps, Sparkle N Sprinkle and Bugaboo Digi Stamps! How awesome is that?! ;)

I chose the absolutely adorable Bugaboo Brat Autumn Leaves Girl digi for my step card. I paired this image with a stamped sentiment from a fall-themed stamp set, some fall-themed paper, a stamped/punched acorn and several leaf die cuts.

I can't get over how cute this little chicklet is, lol! I colored her with my Zig Clean Color markers and added Wink of Stella to her outfit and wheelbarrow. I added a green twine bow to the acorn and layered three of each of the leaves together for some dimension. The tiny shiny gold elements that I've used as sequins are nail art, believe it or not! Hubby bought me a package of eight tiny glass bottles of different shapes that were meant to be glued onto fingernails but I thought they'd make excellent sequins and/or shaker elements. Teeheehee... I have him trained well, to look for anything I can use on my crafts, lol! ;)

Here's a side view of the step card construction. I really love step cards and haven't made one in a while, so thought it was about time. :)

Proud to enter this fun step card into the following challenges:

Recipe:

You're fintastic!

** 5/8/16 Winner at Come and Get It Challenges! **

Hi everybody! It's definitely a happy May 1st although it's already hot here in north Florida... wishing we could get back some of that lovely Spring weather we were having! It's time for another fun challenge over at House of Cards and I'm happy to share my DT inspiration project for our May Supply Challenge: Clear Papers- Use Vellum or Acetate! Come on and play with us - we want to see some vellum or acetate on your project! :)

I used the adorable Paper Pretties 'Fish Wishes' stamp set to create my underwater scene featuring clear cardstock as the top layer of the card base. This was my first-ever card created with clear cardstock and like most experiments, I was a little concerned at first, lol, but I really love how it turned out! :)

I inked the background with three colors of distress ink (direct to paper, overlapping each color), dried it with the heat tool, and splattered water droplets all over it. I hand-drew the seaweed and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers, then adhered the individual pieces to the background. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. I colored the fish with Spectrum Noir markers and clear Wink of Stella, then adhered it and the pearl 'bubbles' to the clear cardstock.

Here is an angled view... if you look really hard you can see the clear cardstock. What a fun project!

Proud to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury white cardstock, Crafter's Companion clear cardstock
  • Stamps: Paper Pretties Fish Wishes stamp set
  • Ink: Ranger Distress Ink- Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky; Versamark; Memento Tuxedo Black; Spectrum Noir- DG2, DG3, DG4, OR1, CT4, BP2, LV3, GG1, GT1, GT2, GT3; Black Copic Multi-liner pen
  • Accessories: SweetStamps fine detail white embossing powder, Clear Wink of Stella, Stampin' Up! Pearls (#119247)

I hope you've enjoyed today's project and you've found a little inspiration to play in our clear papers challenge this month! Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie

May all your birthday wishes come true

It's time for another fun challenge over at My Crafting Stories and I'm happy to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #5 - Flowers! We're being sponsored this month by Angie's Digital Stamps, so come play with us! It's a super easy challenge this time... we want to see some flowers on your project! ;)

I chose the super cute 'Lila Holding Flowers' digi for my all-pink birthday card. Isn't she adorable?! I used three coordinating papers and cardstock for the background along with a pink special event ticket from my stash, along with my new all-time favorite stitched dies (oval ones this time) to cut and layer the image.

I created the gorgeous pink double loop bow from checkerboard satin ribbon. Love, love, love! I got the awesome flower punch a couple months ago to create my own flowers and hadn't used it yet, so it definitely came in handy to use for this project!

The inside is embellished with a layered hand-cut flag from an additional pattern in the paper pack and a stamped birthday sentiment. What a fun project!

Happy to enter this sweet birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White cardstock, Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo cardstock (#115320), Stampin' Up! Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#138434)
