Friends Furrever

Hi everyone! I've been playing in the scrap room with some stamps and dies I got a few weeks back. I'm super excited to share today's Really Reasonable Ribbon DT inspiration project! I am a huge cat lover (we have eight sweet fur babies) so I created a fun CAS cat-themed friendship card using the beautiful Silky Crush Champagne Ribbon. OMG, this ribbon is fabulous! (*high pitched squeal*)

Here's a close-up of that gorgeous bow. It's just a simple bow and it's so easy to create with the Bow-it-All v2.0! I highly recommend that you to check out Bonnie's awesome bow tutorials on YouTube HERE!

I absolutely love this cat stamp and coordinating die! I matched the ink to the cardstock and added some Glossy Accents to the little heart for a some interest.

And here's the simple sentiment stamped on a layered panel on the inside... there's nothing more awesome than that sound of contentment. I guess you gotta be a cat lover to understand! :)

Happy to enter this friendship card into the following challenges:

What the Cluck?

Hi everyone! I'm back to share another Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #68 - Anything Goes! It's our last challenge of the year and we're being sponsored this time by Stitchy Bear's Digi OutletAngie's Digital Stamps and A Day For Daisies! Come play with us - we know you love some anything goes!

I created projects using images from two of our sponsors. For this second project, I chose the fun 'Amy Hen' digi from A Day For Daisies for a belated birthday card. I just got a fun new stamp set with chicken sentiments and stamps, and knew they would go perfectly together! ;)

Ms. Hen definitely deserves to be showcased in bold prints and bright colors of yellow, red and orange. I dry embossed some orange foil cardstock with a chicken wire embossing folder. I cut the chicken image with a round stitched die, and added a pretty multi-loop bow with a retro flower embellishment.

For the inside, I stamped a belated sentiment on a layered panel.

Proud to enter this belated birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Tomato Soup cardstock, DVWV Orange Foil cardstock, GKD Watercolor Garden and The Simple Things 6x6 patterned paper packs
  • Stamps: A Day For Daisies 'Amy Hen' digial image, Paper Pretties Cluck Part II stamp set
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966); Spectrum Noir- DR3, DR5, DR6, TN2, TN6, IG1, LY1, LY2, LY3
  • Dies/Punches: MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX and Stitched Circle Layers dies
  • Accessories: MISTI, Darice chicken wire embossing folder, white gel pen, Red YNS Gumdrops, silver gemstones, Studios Blackbird ribbon, Bow-it-All v2.0, retro flower button

I hope you've enjoyed both of today's projects and have found a little inspiration to play in our Anything Goes challenge this time! Sew Sweet

** 12/27/15 Honorable Mention at 613 Avenue Create! **

Hi everyone! Well, Christmas is finally upon us and I hope you all are having a wonderful time of preparation with family and friends! I've been busy creating and am happy to share the first of two Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration projects for LTSCB #68 - Anything Goes! which is our last challenge of the year! We're being sponsored this time by Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet, Angie's Digital Stamps and A Day For Daisies! Come play with us!

I chose the absolutely adorable 'Daisy May Sewing' image from Angie's Digi Stamps to create a fun thank you card. A few weeks ago I treated myself to a black Friday special - a Janome Sew Mini 124 sewing machine, and OMG, I l.o.v.e. it! I created a cute patchwork type background with three horizontal strips of coordinating papers.

Isn't little Daisy May just the cutest?! When I saw this image I knew I had to have it because I have several sewing-themed stamp sets that I've had for several years and were begging to finally be used! ;)

Of course I added my signature big bow, and this time I affixed a small paper rose to the center of it. I also created a faux spool of thread to pair with the stamped vintage darning needles element.

And I found a couple more cute embellishments to use - an adorable scissors charm and a small button. ;)

I kept the inside fairly simple, with a stamped sentiment on a layered panel. I also stamped a pair of scissors and button (stamped off once) in the lower right corner.

I'd love to enter this sweet thank you card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock, Cricut Reds and Pinks cardstock, scrap of Kraft cardstock, Stampin' Up! All Abloom DSP (#133703)
  • Stamps: Daisy May Sewing digital image from Angie's Digi Stamps, Karber Stamps Sew Sweet stamp set (front sentiment), Blockheads Paper Arts Notions stamp set, Paper Smooches Natural Beauties stamp set (inside sentiment)
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke ink (#126972) Stampin' Up! Pink Pirouette ink (#126956); Spectrum Noir- EB1, EB2, EB4, EB6, TN1, TN2, TN3, IG1, FS2, FS3, CR3, BP2, DG2, DG3
  • Dies/Punches: MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangles STAX die
  • Accessories: Janome Sew Mini 124, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon, Bow-it-All, Green Studios Blackbird twine, Fire Mountain Gems scissors charm, small button, paper rose, Candi minis

I hope you've found a little inspiration to play with us in our last challenge of the year with an easy Anything Goes theme! I created projects using images from two of our sponsors, so stay tuned for the next one! And be sure to check out all the fun crafty goodies at Stitchy Bear's Digi OutletAngie's Digi Stamps and A Day For Daisies! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

falala

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you today a Really Reasonable Ribbon DT inspiration project, one of the last Christmas cards I made this year, and I made a bunch of them! AND I'm happy to report that I had all my cards ready to mail by December 1st! I used the stunning Plaid Ribbon Ivory/Rust/Gold on this whimsical card. Love, love, love this ribbon!

How about this awesome bow I created with my Bow-it-All v2.0?! Be sure to check out Bonnie's awesome bow tutorials on YouTube. I added a couple tiny jingle bells to the center of this one for some interest. :)

Isn't this little feline one of the cutest you've ever seen?! Not sure if that grin is sheepish or mischievous, but I love it! The coordinating stamps and dies are from Paper Smooches and I'm in love with them! I'm a cat lover (hubby and I have eight feline fur-babies) and I definitely had a good time with this one! ;)

For the inside, I added a strip of some of the background paper used on the front and stamped a whimsical sentiment on the layered panel. ;)

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock, Marco's Bazzill Basics Crimson cardstock, Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection cardstock, Stampin' Up! Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719), The Paper Studio Old World Winter 6x6 paper
  • Stamps: Paper Smooches Nine Lives, Holiday Cheer and Cosmos stamp sets,

Dazzling Ornament & Holiday Shaker for Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

** 12/16/15 Designer of the Day at 613 Avenue Create's FB Page! **

Hi everyone! It's time for another Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop! Here's advanced warning that this is a picture-heavy post... I'm showcasing two projects for our hop! :) But wow, oh wow, you are in for a real treat - the design team has been busy creating projects using ribbon and/or trim from the December Ribbon Club Assortment. This one is called 'Beautiful Blues' and what gorgeous shades of blue they are!

If you are hopping with us, you should have arrived here from the uber talented Kathy's blog. If not, then you might want to head over to the RRR blog to start from the beginning. Trust me... you don't want to miss a thing! :)

PROJECT #1: DAZZLING ORNAMENT
I still had my ornament dies out from one of my last RRR inspiration projects, so I decided to create a little 'sumthin-sumthin' to give to my boss along with her Christmas gift. I used the ever-so-pretty Funky Snowflakes on Royal Blue Satin Ribbon along with some Iridescent White Metallic String, both from the December Ribbon Club Assortment. I strung several small beads on the metallic string to dangle beneath the bow.

I created the pretty little bow with my Bow-it-All v2.0. The dazzle was created with spray adhesive and loose Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds glitter. After all the glitter was applied, I sprayed a matte finish on each section to help keep the glitter from coming off.

Here's a top view. I'm really happy with how this turned out and I'm proud to say I didn't make a huge mess with the glitter, lol!

Proud to enter this ornament into the following challenges:

PROJECT #2: HOLIDAY SHAKER CARD
I absolutely love shaker cards and although I've made several over the past few months, I just don't make very many of them in general. But while my Christmas mojo was rockin', I wanted to create a winter scene - one to look at through a double-pane living room window. I used the absolutely gorgeous Blue Topaz Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon paired with some of the Iridescent White Metallic String, both from the December Ribbon Club Assortment.

How about this gorgeous bow?! The stitched satin ribbon really does make the best bows! I create all my bows with the Bow-it-All v2.0 which is undoubtedly one of my most treasured and most used crafty tools. I've had the original Bow-it-All for a couple years now and recently upgraded to the 2.0 version. They are very similar but the newer version has more size options.

The window needed curtains so I created some with a Cheery Lynn French Pastry doily die cut. I cut one doily from heavy-weight vellum, then cut it in half. I took one of the halves and cut it in half to use for each side. Then I cut one side off the remaining half to use as the valance.

For my winter scene, I inked the background with several blue distress inks, then added small white dots of 'snow' with a white gel pen. I used torn scraps of white gold cardstock for the snow banks, and two Paper Smooches stamp sets and coordinating dies for the trees and deer. Of course, we had to have snow, so I used snow crystals for the shaker bits.

The front and inside sentiments are also from Paper Smooches, stamped in Stampin' Up! Night of Navy ink.

Your next stop on the hop is the lovely Cherry's blog! Be sure to some love on all the blogs as you hop... everyone loves and appreciates comments! And when you reach the end of the hop (back at the RRR blog) leave a comment on the blog hop post answering the Question of the Month for your chance to WIN the December Ribbon Club Assortment! :)

Happy to enter this winter scene shaker into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, GKD In The Navy cardstock, DCWV Pearlized Prints, Marco's Heavy-weight Vellum
  • Stamps: Paper Smooches Warm Hearts, Sweet Escape and Holiday Cheer stamp sets
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Night of Navy (#126970) and Rose Red (#126954) ink; Ranger Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans distress inks; SN- EB6, JG6, CG4, DR6
  • Dies/Punches: Paper Smooches Warm Hearts and Sweet Escape Icons, Diemond Window Dies, Cheery Lynn French Pastry die, MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX die
  • Accessories: RRR Funky Snowflakes on Royal Blue Satin Ribbon, Iridescent White Metallic String and Blue Topaz Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon, Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen, Blockheads Paper Arts Snow Crystals, Want2Scrap white flat-back pearls

You fog my spectacles

Hello, my crafty friends! I sure do enjoy jamming to classic rock while getting my crafty groove on! Music is so good for the soul! Sure glad no one can hear me, lol! I'm really excited to share today's Really Reasonable Ribbon DT inspiration project! I created an anniversary card using the very cool Canvas Color Band with Stitched Edge Black ribbon. This card was for my hubby and he loved it! This canvas ribbon is so awesome for masculine cards!

Masculine cards don't require a lot of embellishments usually, so the only other ones I used were red foam heart die cuts, black glittered gumdrops and red plain gumdrops. I dusted the hearts with my embossing powder tool to give them a little definition against the red background.

I absolutely love the red and black color combo. It's so romantic and I thought it was great for this card! I cut the glasses from black glimmer paper and added a silver nailhead on each side to resemble real glasses, lol! And did I mention how awesome the canvas ribbon is?! :D

I kept the inside simple, just stamping the happy anniversary sentiment on a layered panel. I really like how this turned out!

Would love to enter this anniversary card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock, Marco's Black cardstock, Stampin' Up! Black Glimmer Paper (#139605), Stampin' Up! Stacked With Love DSP (#137779)
  • Stamps: Paper Smooches Incognito stamp set, Leave Memories With One Stamp
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Real Red ink (#126949)
  • Dies/Punches: Paper Smooches Glasses die, Paper Smooches Tiny Hearts dies, Die-namics Stitched Square STAX
  • Accessories: RRR Canvas Color Band with Stitched Edge Black, MISTI, YNS Black Glittered Gumdrops, YNS Red Gumdrops, Darice black and red foam

Hello, my friends! Wow, oh wow, can you believe it's December? The big man in the red suit will be sliding down our chimneys in a little more than two weeks! I'm super stoked to share my Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #67 - It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas! We're being sponsored this time by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More, The Paper Shelter and Kith & Kin Stamp Co. We want to see a Christmas project! That's easy enough - come play with us!

I chose the super cute 'Most Adorable Snowmen' digital image and paper from my personal stash of The Paper Shelter images. I created a seriously distressed vintage Christmas card while jamming to Def Leppard in my scrap room! Good times! :D

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added white flock to their hats with a Versamarker pen and Ranger Sticky embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment on one of the vertical flags from a fairly new Stampin' Up! stamp set that I just love. Every paper element on the front of this card (including the card base) is distressed with both tool and ink, and the corners curled. Definitely had a case of inky fingers by the time I was done with this, but it's all good! ;)

Here's my yummy signature big bow with several loops of natural twine beneath it.

For the inside, which I kept very simple, I just stamped a sentiment from the same SU stamp set and distressed the edges of the panel with ink.

Would love to enter these sweet little snowmen into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: The Paper Cut Brown Bag cardstock, DCWV Multi Stack Reds cardstock, Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, scrap of Stampin' Up! Bermuda Bay cardstock, scrap of red/white polkadot cardstock from stash
  • Stamps: The Paper Shelter's 'Most Adorable Snowmen' digital image and paper; Stampin' Up! Oh, What Fun stamp set (#140386)
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Early Espresso ink (#126974), Ranger Antique Linen and Vintage Photo distress inks, Versamarker pen, Spectrum Noir- IG1, IG2, TN1, TN3, TN4, PP2, DR1, DR5, OR2, OR3, BG6, BG8, BT4, BT5, DG3
  • Dies/Punches: Stampin' Up! 1/2" Circle Punch (#119869), Stampin' Up! 3/4" Circle Punch (#119873)
  • Accessories: Prairie Bird Boutique red winkled ribbon, Studios Blackbird Natural Twine, Tim Holtz distress tool, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Glossy Accents, EK Success metal rim tag, Ranger Sticky embossing powder, Recollections white flock, YNS red Glittered Gumdrops

Thinking of You at Christmas

*** 12/6/15 Winner at 613 Avenue Create! **
** December 2015 Winner at Crafts Galore Encore Challenges! **

Hi everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon! I'm very proud to share my DT inspiration project for #131 - Shimmer & Sparkle with Ribbon or Trim! Dig into your shimmery and sparkly stash and come play with us! This will be our only challenge this month, so we hope to see you! :)

I created a mega shimmery and sparkly Christmas card using the absolutely gorgeous Light Navy Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon from the December Ribbon Club Assortment. All of the ribbon in this assortment is just beautiful and makes the best bows!

I created this yummy multi-loop bow with my Bow-it-All v2.0. Creating beautiful bows with this awesome tool is really much easier than it looks! Check out Bonnie's awesome bow tutorials on YouTube!

It's hard to tell in the photos, but the background is white gold cardstock that has a really nice shimmer to it. I created the ornaments with Stampin' Up! dies and glimmer paper which is super sparkly, DCWV blue shimmer cardstock underneath, and silver foil cardstock for the caps. The sentiment is from the SU stamp set that coordinates with the dies, embossed in silver and cut with a stitched die.

Keeping the inside fairly simple, I used a strip of the white gold cardstock along with a very narrow strip of the blue shimmer cardstock, and then stamped the sentiment from the SU set in Navy ink on the layered panel.

Proud to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White cardstock, The Paper Cut White Gold cardstock, Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#135315), ColorBok Glacier Springs Blue Glitter Paper, DCWV Blue Shimmer cardstock, Marco's Silver Foil cardstock
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Embellished Ornaments stamp set (#139759)
  • Ink: Stampin' Up Night of Navy ink (#126970), Versamark
  • Dies/Punches: Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments Thinlits dies (#139667), MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX die
  • Accessories: RRR Light Navy Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon, MISTI, SweetStamps Silver fine detail embossing powder

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a project for our Shimmer & Sparkle challenge this time! There's an amazing selection of products, awesome prices, super fast shipping and great customer service! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

all is calm, all is bright

Hello, crafty peeps! Some parts of the world are experiencing cold weather and some are experiencing warm weather (like us here in north Florida with 85-degree days in the middle of November). Kinda scrambled, wouldn't you say?! The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog is excited to bring you our "It's A Scramble" Blog Hop! We're being sponsored by the awesome River City Rubber Works! Come hop with us for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to their online store!

As you hop, collect letters at each stop and be sure to leave each designer some love. Once you have collected all the letters, unscramble them and email your guess to ltscb@mail.com - then all the correct guesses will be entered into the drawing for the River City Rubber Works gift certificate!

All of the LTSCB designers are creating Anything Goes inspiration projects. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up an Anything Goes project for an EXTRA entry into the drawing! **Be sure to use the same email address to email your guess and to link up your project so we can make sure you're given two entries into the drawing!**

Please note that even though this is an Anything Goes challenge, our normal rules apply. :)

Okay, now I need to side-track for a minute to share my project! I created a pretty CAS shaker Christmas card using the beautiful Angels in Window digi from River City Rubber Works. I did two things I almost never do - (1) use an uncolored image and (2) use non-traditional colors for a Christmas card. But I love how this one turned out, done in black and white with a pop of pink! I really do love this!

The image is called Angels in Window so I thought it only fitting to create a shaker card with a window. I used my WRMK Fuse Tool to create the shaker pouch. The shaker bits are hearts and stars glitter and sequins, all in various shades of pink.

The only embellishments are some pink gemstones and a pretty organza multi-loop bow. You know I love my bows! ;)

And here's the inside with a simple embossed sentiment on a strip of black cardstock just above the image.

Happy to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Marco's White Antique Linen and Black cardstock
  • Stamps: River City Rubber Works' Angels in Window digital image, Paper Smooches Holiday Cheer stamp set (front sentiment), GKD Christmas Wishes stamp set (inside sentiment)
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Dies/Punches: Spellbinders Classic Circles dies
  • Accessories: Darice black foam, We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool and Pouch, Doodlebug Designs pink sequins, MS Iridescent Hearts and Stars Glitter, Hero Arts white embossing powder, pink gemstones, pink organza ribbon from stash

Now let's get back to the blog hop! I have two letters - E and W. Here are your blog hop stops:
                       Leslie  (you're here!)
Robin
Shaindel

We hope you are enjoying the hop! If you get lost along the way or if you landed here in the middle of the hop and want to join in the fun, head on over to the Love To Scrap!Challenge Blog to read all the details and start from the beginning. Remember to collect the letters at each stop for your chance to win the River City Rubber Works $25 gift certificate - and also link up an Anything Goes project for an extra entry into the drawing! Happy Hopping!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie

born to be loved

Hello, my crafty friends! I'm super stoked to share with you today my Really Reasonable Ribbon DT inspiration project. For this post, I created a pretty anniversary card using the absolutely gorgeous Pearl Pink & Hot Pink checkerboard ribbon from Checkerboard Satin Assortment Pinks. Words just can't describe how beautiful this ribbon is... you really need to see it for yourself! ;)

I'm really proud to show off this yummy bow - my first-ever bi-color double loop bow - that I created with my Bow-it-All v2.0. I see a whole lot of these in my future, lol! Be sure to view Bonnie's awesome bow tutorials on YouTube! She's definitely the Master! ;)

I really enjoyed creating these layers with this pretty pink cardstock and vintage double-sided patterned papers. I used the Stampin' Up! Sweetheart punch for the heart, popped the panel up with foam to recess the heart shape, then stamped the sentiment (also from Stampin' Up!) inside the heart. I affixed a metal key embellishment above the heart to depict a 'key to my heart' theme. Very happy with how this turned out!

I stamped a simple sentiment on the inside and used a strip of patterned paper from the same paper pack to spruce up the inside a bit.

Proud to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Premium White cardstock, DCWV Multi Stack Reds, KaiserCraft Key To My Heart double-sided papers
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Groovy Love stamp set (#134246), Leave Memories With One Stamp stamp set

  • Accessories: RRR Checkerboard Satin Assortment Pinks, MISTI, K & Co. Life's Journey metal key embellishment, Stampin' Up! Basic Pearl Jewels (#119247)

** 12/3/15 Top 5 at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! **
** 12/7/15 Honorable Mention at The Shabby Tea Room! **
** 12/10/15 Winner at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends! **

Hi everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon! This is my first challenge project as a proud RRR DT member and I'm super stoked to share it with you! Our second November challenge - #130 - Silver & Gold withRibbon or Trim - is in full swing this morning so come play with us! Dig into your silver and gold crafty stash and have some fun!

I created a CAS winter wonderland card using the absolutely gorgeous Diagonal Stripes Light Silver and Old Gold on White Satin ribbon from the November Ribbon Club Assortment. If you haven't seen this assortment, you really need to have a look - it's amazing!

I created this simple double loop bow with my Bow-it-All which is one of my most treasured tools in my crafty stash! You're always invited to view Bonnie's awesome bow tutorials on YouTube. I generally don't use silver and gold together, and really don't know why because this combination is striking! I designed my card around the RRR silver and gold satin ribbon. I used silver metallic cardstock for layering along with silver fine detail embossing powder. Then I brought in the gold using gold metallic cardstock for the word die cut and the gold glittered gumdrops. Sometimes less is more! ;)

The inside sentiment was stamped in Versamark Dazzle and embossed in silver fine detail embossing powder, and layered on the silver metallic cardstock.

Proud to enter this CAS winter wonderland card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White cardstock, Marco's Venicelux Silver Metallic cardstock, Marco's Venicelux Gold Metallic cardstock scrap
  • Stamps: GKD Christmas Wishes stamp set
  • Ink: Versamark Dazzle
  • Dies/Punches: Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Words Script dies
  • Accessories: RRR Diagonal Stripes Light Silver and Old Gold on White Satin, SweetStamps Silver Fine Detail embossing powder, Darice white foam, YNS Gold Glittered Gumdrops

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a project for our Silver & Gold challenge this time! You definitely need to check out all the ribbon and crafty goodies and tools at Really Reasonable Ribbon... talk about an amazing selection of products, awesome prices, super fast shipping and great customer service! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)
