Happy Birthday

** 8/18/14 Winner at Crafty Cardmakers and more! **

Hi everyone! I'm super stoked to be guest designing for Card Mania Challenges August through October! It's gonna be a fun three months! ;) My inspiration project for CMC #53 - Birthday Party is a very cool 6-step birthday card done in pink and green, one of my favorite color combos. Come play with us! It's been two years since Card Mania Challenges began their challenge blog! There are lots of sponsors and lots of prizes for this Birthday Party! Sponsors are Kenny K, Marianne Design, A Day For Daisies, StampArt By Kathryne, ColorInk, Meljen's Designs, Digital Delights and Sassy Studio Designs, PLUS their regular sponsor Hobbismo! How awesome is that?! :)

I created the 6-step card base using a Silhouette cut file. This is the third of three different step files that I bought about a month and a half ago... oh so much fun! I chose the gorgeous Victorian Shoe Daisies digi from Meljen's Designs as the focal image for my birthday card. I dug deep into my stash and pulled out some vintage (been in my stash a l.o.n.g. time) embellishments for the occasion - lime green letters, a pink and white polka dot bookplate and a pewter 'celebrate' charm. The only modern day items are the double-sided papers (I'm so addicted), the tag, the purse die cut and the pink Candi Minis.

I decorated the steps with the letters and embellished the tag with the bookplate. The tag hides the birthday sentiment which you'll see pulled out in the next pic.

Here's the birthday sentiment pulled out of it's little hiding place. :)

I'd love to enter this 6-step birthday card into the following challenges:

  • GKD Pure Luxury white cardstock; DCWV lime green textured cardstock
  • Kaiser Craft confetti double-sided paper
  • Meljen's Designs Victorian Shoe Daisies digital image
  • Copics: R83/85, E37/99, YG13/63/67, BG000
  • Clear Wink of Stella
  • Lime green letters from stash
  • Candi Minis
  • Celebrate charm
  • Studios Blackbird burgundy twine and ribbon
  • Metal bookplate with brads
  • GKD Birthday Greetings stamp set
  • Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Unity tag

I hope you're inspired to create a birthday card and come celebrate with us! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)
